Gallery Pick

Another page this week that has succeeded in looking just lovely by keeping it simple. Kikyee shared this one in our Gallery and it's just so pretty. She's combined a paper from Cocoa Vanilla's Free Spirit line with the Accessory Stickers and Vellum accents from the Love Always line just perfectly. I love the painted background behind the photo and the great use of the word stickers. She a beautiful page, thanks for sharing Kikyee!

DT Share: Water Fun

I really am enjoying scrapping these fun summer photos! This page has been completed almost exclusively with the Cocoa Vanilla Endless Summer paper and embellishments. I have used there papers: Blue Skies and This and That, Flair Buttons, and the Enamel Shapes. Also the Wood Veneers which I used for the word 'fun' in my title- coloured with Kaisermist Peach. The base for the page is White Bazzill Cardstock. And I've added some WRMK Washi Tape, and the word 'Water' in my title is made with these Amy Tangerine Alyx Thickers which are white chipboard with silver foil stripes.

DT Quick Share: Fun

Another simple page using Cocoa Vanilla's Endless Summer line. Just two sheets of the patterned paper- the wood grain background: Sweet Treats, And my word art from the cut apart sheet: This and That. I've finished off some left over enamel dots from Simple Stories Life in Colour. and added a little Endless Summer accessory sticker and some Hambly Washi tape. To finish a glitter thicker title from this very cool word pack Let's Go... which is travel themed but very flexible! And a splash of Kaisermist Aqua.

Gallery Pick

How much does this LO by Deb Weston in our gallery say summer?! I'm loving the bright colours and simple design. Deb has picked the colours from her photos and with the addition of yellow created a perfect primary colour palette. With just one photo, eight circles and her title she's created a really striking summer page. Love this Deb, thanks for sharing!

DT Share: Happy Girls are the Prettiest

Have you seen the January Challenge? The task was to use a quote for your title. I've picked this one attributed to Audrey Hepburn: "Happy girls are the prettiest."

This month I have been scrapbooking with the lovely Endless Summer line from Cocoa Vanilla. I've used the 'This and that' paper for this page and inked the edges with Charcoal versamark. I've complimented it with the Wood Veneers and Bits & Pieces from the Love Always Line. My title is these funky new black and white Thickers: Dear Lizzy Saturday Petals and some Cosmo Cricket Tiny Type which are great for long titles. I've finished my page with some WRMK Washi Tape and a little Twine.

January 2017 Cyber Crop

Hello and Welcome to our first CC of the year!

We have 3 great challenges to get your mojo pumping!  Maybe even get in the the groove for our new competition starting in February!

First up we have a Colour Inspiration Challenge ...just got to love summer colour 💕

You can use some, or use all ....but you can ONLY use the colours shown in the image... White is included, (just not listed as it just looked like a missed out a square of colour!! )

And here is Gypsy's take on the colour palette..

This LO was a fun way to use up some bits and pieces the squares are 3.5x3.5 inches so perfect for scraps! I've used Basic Grey Lemonade: Lime Cooler and Picnic Table combined with Echo Park's Everyday Eclectic Orange. The Amy Tan Kal Barteski Foam Thickers Alphas are new in the store and I love the fun and informality of them.

I've finished my page with some We R Memory Keepers Washi, Bakers Twine, Cocoa Vanilla Love Always: Puffy Stickers and Endless Summer Enamel Shapes, and some Grandma's Lima Bean Soup Stickers from Jillibean.

Second Challenge is a Sketch Challenge...

and my take on it :)

I've used Simple Stories Life in Colour papers and finished it off with Fancy Pants, What a wonderful Ephemera, rhinestones, Twine and some Simple Story Cardstock stickers....added a little owl charm too.

Third Challenge is a Scrap-Lift Challenge.

Go the the gallery and choose a layout to scrap-lift.  Don't forget to tell us who's page you lifted!!

I was inspired by this lovely LO in the gallery by Tracey Campbell...

Here's my take...

Instead of using patterned paper I masked off two sections of my page and sprayed with the Aqua Kaisermist. I've used twine instead of the faux stitching and held it in place with brads! The title is from my own stash... but if you like the look Donna has these ones in the store. The Paper is an oldie but a goodie from My Minds Eye: Remember Argyle.

I've finished my page with some We R Memory Keepers Washi, Cocoa Vanilla  Endless Summer Enamel Shapes, and some Grandma's Lima Bean Soup Stickers from Jillibean.

Now for the rules...

  •  All cyber crop entries must be newly created pages made for the set challenges
  •  Only allowed one entry for each challenge

Our 1st Challenge for 2017!

Hello everyone and welcome to our first challenge!

Do you make a New Year Resolution?  or like me do you pick a word or quote to incorporate into your daily routine?

This year I chose the quote "Don't try...Just do"   (sounds a bit like something Master Yoda would come up with ...... and yes boys out number me in this house! 😁)

This gave me the idea for our 1st challenge....Use a quote as a title

Any quote will do!  Here's my take...

I just adore this range from Cocoa Vanilla - Endless summer  I've tried to keep this layout fairly simple so the photo can be the highlight... KaiserMist in Aqua to reflect the gorgeous blue in the photo...got to love that shimmer!!

I've embellished Cocoa Vanilla Endless Summer, Accessory sheet and Blooms  and Kaisercarft Rhinestones

You need to upload your layout into the Mystical Scrapbooks Gallery - here , or via linkup. Challenge closes at the end of January for your chance to win the prize, and this month prize is a Chipboard and paint pack.

Have fun and I look forward to see what you come up with.
